After an enlistment in the U.S. Army, Amanda Human started her professional career in the for profit
sector. Amanda held key roles in the strategic redesign of several Fortune 500 Companies including;
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (BNSF), Hewlett Packard (HP), McKesson Corporation and CVS
Caremark Corporation. Over her career Amanda has enabled employers and clients to realize over $4
billion in growth, increased revenue and cost reduction.
Compelled to give back, at retirement, Amanda became certified in nonprofit management and
launched a consulting career in the nonprofit sector. She consulted with both startup and well
established non-profit organizations. Amanda’s specialized in strategic planning, the development of
strategically aligned programs, business coaching and board development. She made her skills available
on a sliding scale, enabling budget strapped nonprofits to benefit from her consulting expertise.
Currently, Amanda is a volunteer leader for AARP. Amanda leads community outreach efforts within her
county and also leads AARP’s Veterans, Military and Family program for the Philadelphia area.
Additionally, Amanda chairs the Advisory Committee for the Montgomery County Office of Senior
Services where she sets the direction for Committee and facilitates achievement of the Committee’s
stated purpose.
Amanda holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas
with a concentration in strategic management. She is certified in Nonprofit Management through the
Center for Nonprofit Management, Dallas, Texas and a Certified Project Manager (PMP) through the
Project Management Institute.
